Google Sheets to Website FAQ
Common questions about using Google Sheets to power your website
Do I need to keep my Google Sheet open for sync to work?
No. Once connected, InstaRank can sync with your sheet even when it's closed. You can set up scheduled syncs (hourly, daily) or manually trigger updates from the InstaRank dashboard.
Can I use Google Sheets formulas in my content?
Yes! InstaRank reads the calculated values from your formulas. Use CONCATENATE, IF statements, VLOOKUP—whatever your content needs. The resulting values become your page content.
What happens if I delete a row in my sheet?
You control this behavior. By default, deleting a row unpublishes (drafts) the corresponding page but doesn't delete it. You can change this to permanently delete or do nothing.
Can multiple people edit the sheet at once?
Absolutely. That's one of the main benefits. Your entire team can collaborate on the Google Sheet simultaneously. Sync handles all the changes and publishes the latest version.
Is there a row limit for Google Sheets integration?
Google Sheets itself supports up to 10 million cells. Practically, we recommend keeping individual sheets under 50,000 rows for optimal sync performance. You can split larger datasets across multiple sheets.
Can I connect multiple Google Sheets to one website?
Yes. You might have one sheet for products, another for locations, and a third for blog posts. Each sheet connects to different page templates on your site.
